Can I Really Change my Life Balance?

As individuals we will all differ in what is most important to us so Life Coaching is tailored to you and your specific needs.

With Life Coaching you’ll use different tools, support and motivation to achieve your goals, for yourself. You’ll learn these tools and how they work, so you can use the for yourself in there future. Making your life more fulfilling.

You may feel life is running away with you; you are at a crossroads and can’t decide which road to take; you seem to focus on what you don’t want or can’t have instead of what you do want and can have; or you need to organise your time more efficiently. Life Coaching can help with all of these.

Most often Life Coaching will take place over a number of sessions, over a number of months: either over the phone or face to face, to suit you; for example for six sessions spaced 2 or 3 weeks apart.

How Does Life Coaching Work?

Each session topic is decided by the client. Once the topic has been decided, it is explored in depth. I’ll guide you through uncovering what’s going well in that area of your life. Then we’ll look at what’s not working so well and start to explore why. As we work our way through this, you’ll start to look at things differently and find ways to make this aspect of your life receive the amount of focus it deserves.

Life Coaching Contract

Life Coaching requires a contract between the coach and client where each agrees to be on time, and prepare fully for each session, probably completing agreed actions between sessions in order to reach agreed goals.

The session topic and goal is decided by the client. It is then a case of finding ways to move towards this goal and exploring each option. Before the end of the session a number of actions will be decided to be completed before the next session. To get the most out of Life Coaching the client has to be in a position where they want to change things and are prepared to make things change.

What is NLP?

NLP is Neuro Linguistic Programming..

What does that mean? It’s the study of they way we process and interact with the world around us and how we can change it. NLP gives us a choice of ways to interact with the world to help us move forward when we’ve been been feeling stuck.

NLP is about all your senses and the language you use. Taking all of these and making them work for you in the most positive way possible.

How Does NLP Work?

In a Life Coaching session will look at where you’re feeling you could be doing better. It may then be helpful to use NLP tools to explore new ways to look at, and different options for moving forward from the situation. There maybe many options for how to deal with what you’re facing. You will have the chance to decide which one will work best for you.

What Clients Say

When I came to see Karen I was looking to change jobs, but I wasn’t sure which direction I wanted to go in.

Karen asked probing questions to help me answer key questions, such as, “What makes a job worth doing?”

With open questions Karen helped me find and explore many options.

We agreed  GOALS for each session and also for my homework between sessions.

By the end of the sessions I had my applications in for the jobs I really wanted for my future career.

I love my new job, thank you Karen.

Meet Karen Baker

That’s me.

I’ve been a clinical hypnotherapist since 2008 and have helped clients with various things they’ve wanted to change, for many years.

I started to notice that clients weren’t necessarily bringing me just one problem. Sometimes there were a few  aspects of their life which were challenging to them. I wanted to be able to help them, so I trained in Life Coaching in 2010.

Training helped me to see how interlinked all aspects of our life are. I could also see how some areas may become left behind as life events take over.

I learned different ways to help clients find the balance again.

Why Do My Clients Succeed?

Every client’s needs are individual so I work with what’s most important to you.

It maybe you want  to have more time to spend with the family or loved ones.

Maybe you feel your health and fitness are missing out.

Sometimes it’s being able to feel financially stable, then everything else will slot into place.

I take the time to understand what you want to change and why. Then we look at what changes are achievable and how. With a focus what is really motivating you to make these changes All means you are most likely to succeed.

FAQs

Where do Life Coaching sessions take place?

Generally speaking it’s best if you come to me, so the environment is quiet and there are no interruptions from family or friends.

If you prefer to stay in your own home, it is possible to hold sessions remotely.

How many sessions will it take?

That’s a difficult question to answer, we will discuss what you want to achieve and then it will be easier to assess how many sessions it may take.
