Hypnotherapy for Stress, Anxiety and Panic Attacks.

Are you struggling with stress, anxiety and even panic attacks?

Do you avoid certain situations, places or people for fear of the stress, anxiety or panic they create?

Perhaps there’s a journey you need to make and you’re thinking through every step of the way, worrying about what might go wrong.

Maybe you’re in two minds about a night out with friends, your mind is going at 90mpg with the, “What ifs”.

Do you want to stop overthinking things and be able to finally just enjoy yourself?

At Hylands Hypnotherapy, I help people with anxiety, stress and panic attacks by working with the unconscious mind – the part of the brain responsible for habits, behaviours and emotional triggers. Hypnotherapy teaches you how to control the adrenalin production so you can calm down on request.

Can I Really Start to Feel Calm?

Yes, as soon as you enter the hypnotised state you will feel relaxed. This is a state you will already have been in that morning as you were waking up. You will also learn how to calm yourself down in any stressful situation.

How Does Stress Anxiety and Panic Attack Hypnotherapy Work?

Hypnotherapy is a very relaxing process, which will help you deal with your stress and anxiety, stopping you from experiencing panic attacks.

We will discuss all the things you find stress you out. I will explain what the role of adrenalin plays in these situations. Then you will learn how to control the production and breakdown of the adrenalin so you can feel calm again.

Hypnotherapy helps you practice controlling the production of adrenalin in a safe environment. Thus you can feel more in control and be able to live your life to the full.

What My Clients Say

I visited Karen for her help to combat severe anxiety and panic attacks for an upcoming exam. Karen was very friendly and made me feel at ease. The session started with an initial Q&A session and medical history and discussed why I was so worried about the exam. Karen gave me some breathing exercises to use prior to and during the exam as I felt necessary. This combatted the increased adrenaline and immediately had a calming effect when I practiced it with Karen. I underwent the hypnotherapy session and felt extremely relaxed. Following the session, I had no further panic attacks and felt totally calm and on the day of the exam, I utilised the breathing exercises and anchoring techniques to remain calm throughout. I feel that the session most certainly benefitted me as prior to and during the exam, I was calmer than I have ever been! And to top it all, I passed the exam! Thanks Karen!”

“Seeing Karen and receiving her treatment has been truly life changing.
After only a short number of sessions, myself and those around me were able to observe overwhelmingly positive changes in my mood, confidence and sociability.
Furthermore, thanks to Karen, I was able to pass my driving test after failing to do so three times, as well as improve my grades from C’s to A’s.
I honestly cannot thank Karen enough, and would recommend her to anybody, struggling with any issue!”

Meet Karen Baker

That’s me.

I’ve been a clinical hypnotherapist since 2008 and have helped people suffering from stress anxiety and panic attacks for many years. Hypnotherapy is a very relaxing process, so I see an improvement in clients immediately, which is wonderful.

Ironically, the reason I first became interested in hypnotherapy was because my then boyfriend successfully quit smoking through hypnosis. At the time, I was very sceptical – despite having a degree in Psychology. He basically nagged me, over three months, to look into it!

Once I began training, I quickly understood how powerful the connection between the unconscious mind and behaviour can be. From day one, I loved helping people create positive change in their lives.

Why Do My Clients Succeed?

Every person has their own reasons for feeling stressed, anxious or have panic attacks.

I take the time to understand what’s going on in your life causing you problems. Then we form a plan for the different situations you find difficult. Under hypnotherapy you can practice calming your response to the situations. This can then become second nature.

FAQs

Can I claim my treatment on my health insurance?

Yes, you can with some insurance companies. I’m registered with CNHC, so check your policy.

Will I be able to drive after my hypnotherapy session?

Yes, you will be fine to drive, assuming you could drive before the session. You will feel lovely and relaxed and will have time to feel normal, before you leave.

You won't be able to get me into a hypnotised state.

I have heard this a few times, some people are certainly more difficult than others, but everyone is able to reach that day dream like state which is needed for hypnotherapy to be successful.

Can you really help me?

I can help people who want to change their behaviour, I cannot make you do anything you don’t want to, or help you change if you have just been told you need to. If you are ready to change, yes, I can help you.

Where do hypnotherapy sessions take place?

Generally speaking it’s best if you come to me, so the environment is quiet and there are no interruptions from family or friends.
